The best Weight Loss DietThere are hundreds—maybe even thousands—of diets that promise to help you lose weight and 

look good. Some of these diets are predicated on fasting, some on pills, and some require you to 

give up things like starch, sugar or fat completely. But did you know that there is only one weight

loss diet that can actually be termed ‘the best’? 

The best weight loss diet doesn’t come in a bottle or a box, and its secrets do not have to be 

written in the pages of a thirty-dollar book. No. The best diet is actually pretty simple—and once 

you know the ingredients, it is a totally do it yourself endeavor. 

The best weight loss diet is any diet comprised of the so-called super foods. What are super 

foods? Put simply, there are the fruits, vegetables, proteins and grains that mother nature 

provides for us naturally. More specifically, super foods include:

• Vegetables like kale, broccoli, carrots, brussel sprouts, bok choy, spinach, cauliflower, 

tomatoes, sweet potatoes, asparagus and cucumbers.

• Fruits like oranges, lemons, apples, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, grapefruits, 

melon, cherries, grapes and kiwis.

• Legumes like beans, chickpeas and lentils.

• Lean Proteins like chicken, salmon, eggs and, every once in a while, lean cuts of red 


• Low-Gluten or Gluten Free Grains like brown rice and quinoa.

• Healthy Fats like nuts, olives, olive oil and avocado. 

• Herbs and Spices like cayenne, turmeric, cinnamon and oregano. 

• Water. Yes—water, water, water! Keep yourself hydrated with at least eight glasses a day.

All of the foods above contain the vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants necessary for you to lose 

weight and feel like you are on top of the world. Eating the super foods above will also boost 

your immunity and protect you from chronic long-term illnesses like cancer, diabetes and heart 

disease. If you fill your breakfast, lunch and dinner with super foods—and avoid processed foods,

sugar, trans fat and starch at all costs—then you can consider yourself on the best weight loss 

diet and the kilos will shed naturally; provided, of course, that you are also engaging in regular

The best weight loss diet is not magic and is not a secret. The best weight loss diet is simple and 

obvious: eat super food meals every day and make sure you are always well hydrated.
